Something Borrowed (Part three)

She was already at the gate, when I reached her after searching for my phone all over the hotel room. The weekend burning nostalgia and melancholy in my chest. Separation anxiety amongst them.

“Honey! I miss you already!” she answered.
“The bracelet!” I managed to blurb.
“Fuck!! Shit!!! Fuck… I´m boarding in 20 minutes. I have to have that bracelet. She´s gonna flip out.”

Duncan pushed himself away, listen
He pushed himself away because it was the only thing he knew to do
He wakes up to a sound he can´t understand
feels

The only thing you can feel
the only thing
no words describe it
just knows he needs to follow

Listen

When he wakes up
He hears a sound
His life begins this moment
waking from slumber

Listen

A voice
the only one you can hear
the only one
The one that breathes you

Surrender

Parched

Wandering for days not knowing the end
no clue how to get home
I´ve nothing but the dirty white shirt on my back and a blue handkerchief
soaked in sweat
My legs bear under the beating sun. I have to keep walking
Not think what is behind me
Hope something is ahead of me

red sun, dipping slowly across the horizon

I close my eyes and imagine the sand before me an ocean of fresh water to bathe in

Open my eyes
Keep moving
The best idea I have, fuck, the only idea I have
My breath sole companion as I wander
Hoping it will stay my friend

Bird Broken

My wings
embraced you
beyond breaking

unable to wrap myself in their cradle

Left unheld
in a crib of self-doubt
eating fear

closing your arms even tighter

I surrendered
urging to worship
within the beauty I reside

a kiss from my Goddess begging me to fly
